Coaching

Tips

  • Land quietly through the balls and midfoot before allowing the heels to settle.
  • Keep a slight bend in your knees to absorb each landing.
  • Use a comfortable arm range if reaching fully overhead causes discomfort.
  • Maintain steady breathing and a pace you can control.

Technique check

Common mistakes

  • Landing with locked knees or excessive impact.
  • Letting the knees collapse inward as the feet move apart.
  • Moving too quickly to maintain a consistent rhythm or upright posture.
  • Taking the feet excessively wide and losing balance.
  • Shrugging the shoulders forcefully as the arms rise.
